Lancer Band Orientation Information

Joining the Lancer Band is a lot of fun, but it can be intimidating. We have prepared the following information to help you with your transition.

If you are a parent of student who is planning to be a member of the TOHS Band next fall, and you have not filled out the following forms and surveys yet, please do so. It helps us tremendously get through all the planning and logistics needed for our very busy fall schedule.

All Lancer Band Forms can be found on our Forms Page. Several forms, including those required by CVUSD and the Lancer Band Organization are available there. They have recently been updated to support automated field fill-in using Adobe Reader.

There are three surveys which we would appreciate you filling out very soon:

What's all this about?

I bet you are probably saying, "Forms? Surveys? Permission slips? Absence slips? There sure are a lot papers to fill out and keep track of. Well, what's it all about? I thought this was a band, not an office." Well, it is a band, and it's amazingly complicated to plan and schedule events for 150 students, seven distinct performance groups, and our booster supporters. We've prepared a basic guide to what the Lancer Band program is all about, a summary of how you can raise funds to cover costs of being in the band, and a series of frequently asked questions (FAQ's). Please check these links out, and please don't be afraid to ask if you don't see an answer to your questions here. We'll be able to update these pages based on the questions we receive.

If you have additional questions, please contact Marty Martone via email or call the band office at (805) 379-0437.
